2013 Boxthorn started making sounds as a three-piece garage band soaking up a mess of influences including fauna & flora concepts with a slab of garage, punk, rock & metal. This produced several verandas, fundraisers, pub shows, recording sessions and some Corona times later we are on to the 2020 release of Boxthorn’s “GET USED TO IT!” Ep.

This time round we have two new cats in the Boxthorn team “Winnie Cuthbertson” & “Lachie Sipthorp”.

Winnie is drums n vocals, coming from bands such as Bond Street Vandals as well as Dëfects. Melbourne

Lachie’s vocals come from a conservation ranger gig, skating, fine wine and dining with several keep cups.

“GET USED TO IT!” is of 4 tracks;

SMELL MY SHIT- Is all hunting the introduced cunning foxes.
SPRAYING- Hitting hard on weeds and chemical compounds.
OVER THE EDGE- Classic 1983 cover of the ‘Wipers’.
KEYSTONE- Are we the keystone species or are the Buster Keaton incompetent Hollywood Keystone cops from 1939.
